I for one hope that after this season, Lou, Hank, and Dank are gone. It is time to move on. With the cap space that opens up and the prime group of UFA's that will be on the open market, its time to reload and build around the younger players!

Im trying to understand the Blog is all, why would the Twins be gone if youre not blowing it up?

Sedins aren't going anywhere. They won't go to different teams and nobody will have cap space for both of them.

The question is why hire an expensive agency if you have 9 years remaining on an immovable contract? Perhaps these guys were brought in to facilitate a deal which works for all parties? That combined with Lou not talking, suggests it’s not all bunny rabbits and rainbows like MG says.

They going to discuss contract extensions soon. My guess is they resign for two years and go on for one year contracts until they go home to Sweden. Though, if they decided to not resign them the Canucks would have over 30 million in cap space with six D sign and pretty much half of their forwards. But even with the Twins signed at less money the Canucks will have tons of money to spend next year on a player like Vanek or whoever else.

I wouldn't bank on it being a "prime group" of UFA's by the time free agency rolls around. It seems every year there is huge hype over the big names to be hitting free agency. Unfortunately, the majority of those players will resign with their respective teams prior to hitting the market.

I don't see the Sedins playing anywhere else but Vancity next year anyways. But that's just my two cents.
